Founder of Canada’s Digital Economy Award

Konrad von Finckenstein, ISCC Board Director, received the Founder of Canada’s Digital Economy Award last month.  The award recognizes outstanding leaders whose contributions have been foundational to the creation, growth, and security of our digital economy and that should be recognized.

Konrad was recognized for his work for Canada and Canadians as Senior General Counsel in the Trade Negotiations Office, subsequently leading the implementation of NAFTA in Canada, your work as Commissioner of Competition, head of the Competition Bureau and as a Justice of the Federal Court, as well as your leadership as Chair of the CRTC.

Given his exceptional efforts creating a robust economy for Canadians, Canadian business and our community, and his efforts to ensure that Canadians enjoyed equitable digital innovation, as a champion for the cause of net neutrality, the Digital ID and Authentication community he was recognized with the 2018 Founder of Canada’s Digital Economy Award.

Congratulations Konrad! We are honoured to have you as a member of organization and Board.
