Alyssa lives in Calgary where she works as the Policy & Strategy Advisor at Alberta’s non-profit research and education network, Cybera. She is an advocate for fair Internet, telecommunications, and computing policy and participates in government consultations, conducts stakeholder relations, and monitors legislative developments. Her areas of interest include rural broadband, open-access networks, and edu-tech. Alyssa is also an elected member of the Advisory Council to the American Registry for Internet Numbers, and volunteers frequently in her community. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.
