Alyssa is the Senior Policy & Advocacy Advisor at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA). Prior to this, Alyssa worked as a Policy & Strategy Analyst at Cybera, Alberta’s non-profit research and education network. Her interests include global internet governance, cybersecurity, and technical standards. She is passionate about a people-centered internet that improves users’ lives and helps them to thrive. Alyssa currently sits on the boards of The Montreal Internet Exchange (QIX) and the Internet Society Canada Chapter. She is also an elected member of the policy Advisory Council to the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.
