Irene S. Berkowitz has appeared before The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage (CHPC) and the Canadian Radio Television Communications Commission (CRTC) on media policy matters.

Dr. Berkowitz is the author of Mediaucracy: Why Canada hasn’t made global TV hits and how it can; lead author of Watchtime Canada: How YouTube connects creators and consumers; and executive producer/host of two limited series from The Audience Lab Podcast, Mediaucracy, and The Sessions.

Berkowitz pens op-eds for The Globe and Mail, Playback, and; white papers for organizations including Canada Media Fund (CMF), and MacDonald Laurier Institute (MLI); and teaches in The Creative School and Ted Rogers MBA.
