Madi Murariu is the Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships for the CIO Strategy Council.
Over the last decade, Madi has worked in and around every facet of government in Canada and internationally. Whether it has been in politics, working with non-government organizations or in the private sector, Madi has focused on areas of policy development, issues management, communications, advocacy and stakeholder management, including in her current role with the CIO Strategy Council, in her previous role as the Director of Issues and Legislative Affairs for the Ministries of Energy, Northern Development and Mines and Indigenous Affairs with the Ontario Government, or previously with the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs and the Insurance Bureau of Canada.
Proficient in four languages including English, French, Spanish and Romanian, Madi continues to grow and learn, having recently completed an Executive Education program with the Harvard Kennedy School and an Executive Certificate in Advocacy in International Relations from the Graduate Institute in Geneva. In her volunteer time, she is the Vice-Chair of the national Board of Directors of Equal Voice, an organization focused on empowering more women to seek public office
